Our Mission
The primary mission of Fundacja Burza Mózgów is to promote culture and art, provide cultural education, support young artists, and contribute to the development of civil society in Poland.
We undertake activities to promote reading among children, young people, and adults — with a particular emphasis on culturally active professionals who work with younger generations. By empowering those in direct contact with youth, we multiply our impact and help embed the love of literature into everyday life.
We are convinced that a society that reads, creates, and engages with culture is a society better equipped to solve its own problems, celebrate its own identity, and build a more just future.
Our Vision
We envision a Poland where access to culture and the arts is universal — where every child has the opportunity to discover a love of reading, where young artists are given the support they need to thrive, and where communities are bound together by a shared cultural life. Our foundation exists to make that vision a reality, one programme, one partnership, and one story at a time.
What We Aim to Achieve
We work to remove financial, geographic, and social barriers that prevent people from participating in cultural life. Through free events, outreach programmes, and community partnerships, we bring culture to those who need it most.
Reading is the foundation of education, empathy, and civic participation. We promote books and literacy through targeted initiatives aimed at children, families, educators, and cultural workers — creating ripple effects that extend far beyond our direct reach.
Poland's creative future depends on the support we give to emerging artists today. We provide platforms, mentorship, funding pathways, and professional development opportunities to help talented young people turn their passion into a sustainable practice.
Culture is a powerful vehicle for civic engagement. We use the arts and education as tools for social cohesion, dialogue, and the development of an active, informed citizenry. By fostering connection across communities, we contribute to a stronger democratic society.
Teachers, librarians, youth workers, and community leaders are the front line of cultural transmission. We invest in their development by providing resources, training, and tools that help them engage young people with literature and the arts more effectively.
Our Audience
From early childhood through adolescence, we offer programmes that spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of culture and literature.
Reading and cultural engagement are for all ages. Our adult programmes create space for reflection, connection, and continued learning.
We champion artists at the beginning of their careers, offering visibility, professional support, and a community of fellow creatives.
Educators, librarians, and youth workers who shape the cultural lives of the young receive targeted support, resources, and training from us.
